U.S. Net & Twine "QUADRUPLE" Casting Reel Circa-1894. The person associated with these inexpensive reels was Frederick Moog. Moog is listed in the late 1880's New York city directories as a reel maker. He received a patent for reel foot design on Aug. 14, 1894. He assigned the patent to United States Net & Twince Co. Previously, the company registered a trade-mark for the name "CLIMAX" on July 3, 1894. The name was stamped on the reels they sold with the Moog patented foot design. This extremely fine 130 year old reel is in amazing shape and spins fast and smooth. Both back plate clicker and brake function perfectly.
